CORONAVIRUS-STAYING HOME!

CORONAVIRUS-STAYING HOME!

It seems the lockdown had an unintended benefit. However we are seeing destruction everywhere but Corona comes with certain benefits to the nature.
The coronavirus is upending everything from aviation to the economy — and it's also having a big impact on the environment.

 Improvements in air quality-

Satellite images released by NASA and the European Space Agency show a dramatic reduction in nitrogen dioxide emissions -- those released by vehicles, power plants and industrial facilities -- in major Chinese cities between January and February. The visible cloud of toxic gas hanging over industrial powerhouses almost disappeared.

As the world's biggest polluter, China contributes 30% of the world's CO2 emissions annually, so the impact of this kind of drop is huge, even over a short period.

Many other regions are also observing significant environmental benefits as a consequence of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Researchers in New York registered a 50 per cent decline in carbon monoxide levels, which is caused due to car emissions. The researchers at Columbia University also established that the traffic levels in the city have come down by around 35 per cent as compared to the data a year ago.

Greenhouse gas emissions-

Slowing economic activity also drives down emissions — if only temporarily. As countries order the closedown of schools, shops and factories, emissions are expected to fall.

India, the world's third largest energy consumer, has enough petrol, diesel and cooking gas (LPG) in stocks to last way beyond the three-week nationwide lockdown as all plants and supply locations are fully operational. With most cars and two-wheelers going off the road, petrol demand has fallen by 8 per cent in March while diesel demand has been down 16 per cent.

There are few another thing which we always wishing for-

We have slept  few extra hours without any worries and busy schedules.

We are spending quality time with family.

We had developed a habit of keeping a check on the latest news and staying updated.

We have become self conscious about cleanliness, hygiene and moving toward healthy practices.

We have realise that health is the real wealth because of this lock down.

The honking noises have been replaced with birds chirping, trees waving and leaves rattling.

We have realise our social responsibilities.

We had gathered childhood memories.
